CLEVELAND, Tenn. (April 29, 2009)—Coach Michael Burt, known across the country as “The Maximum Motivator,” will keynote the Monday, May 4, kickoff luncheon celebrating Business Development Month for the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce. The luncheon, which highlights the contributions of small businesses to the local economy, also features the annual presentation of the Mel Bedwell Small Businessperson of the Year Award. The Small Business Committee of the Chamber of Commerce sponsors Business Development Month each year in May as part its commitment to increase the profitability of member businesses through education, networking and services. The luncheon will take place at noon at the Museum Center at 5ive Points. With a style that many consider a mix between Stephen Covey and Zig Ziglar, Coach Burt is more than a motivational speaker, he is a leadership teacher that inspires and invigorates with contagious enthusiasm and storytelling capability. He has worked with people from all walks of life in multiple disciplines, encouraging and guiding them to find their unique voice in life, redefining and reconnecting leadership, while pinpointing and overcoming gaps to execution that prohibit them from being successful. Burt is the founder of www.CoachMichaelBurt.com, a group of signature brands offering businesses and individuals the tools to building winning cultures. He has authored The Anatomy of Winning, This Ain’t No Practice Life and Changing Lives Through Coaching. Burt’s appearance for Business Development month is sponsored by FirstBank. Call the Chamber of Commerce at 472-6587 by noon Friday to make reservations for the luncheon. -30- |
