Speed networking set for Feb. 25

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (Feb. 10, 2009)—Join the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce for SpeedNet, the Chamber’s networking program for building business relationships.

February’s session will take place Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce in the Village Green Town Center.

“SpeedNet is a fun and effective way to make business connections in a different environment from the usual business networking meetings,” Aaron Weatherford, membership director, explained. “Only 32 people can participate at each event, and each participant is guaranteed to meet 16 people and spend five minutes with each of them.”

Weatherford continued, “After a brief introduction, participants will spend the time rotating around the room and meeting 16 other businesspeople at five-minute intervals. After the power networking round is completed, you may follow up with participants you met or introduce yourself to others you did not get to meet.”

Weatherford added that only one person per company per session may attend a session with only two representatives from a business/industry segment.

“For example, only two representatives from the insurance industry or real estate or banking may participate in a given SpeedNet session,” he explained. “We want to maximize the networking opportunities through exposure to a variety of businesspeople.”

SpeedNet will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Chamber every other month on the last Wednesday of the month: April 29, June 24, Aug. 26 and Oct. 28.

Members may call the Chamber at 472-6587 for additional details and to register.
