CLEVELAND, Tenn. (Jan. 7, 2010)—Top Ambassadors for 2009 were recognized during December’s Membership Coffee of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce. Ambassadors are a public relations arm of the Chamber of Commerce.

2009 Platinum Award winners were Valorie Garmon, Ocoee Insurance Inc., and Ashley Rue, Mix 104.1. Gold Awards were presented to Marilyn Chesnutt, Cleveland Community Concerts; Stan Pegram, At Your Service; and Lisa Geren, East Tennessee Radio Group.

“The Chamber Ambassadors play an important role by serving as hosts for our monthly Membership Coffees and in our retention efforts,” Aaron Weatherford, membership director, said. “They welcome new members to the Chamber and represent the membership at ribbon cuttings and grand openings.”

Recognition is based on a point system for their volunteer service throughout the year.

“We appreciate the efforts of all our Ambassadors,” Weatherford continued, “and I’m really excited about the extra time our winners gave to the Chamber in 2009. They showed up at all hours of the day and in all kinds of weather to welcome our newest businesses.”
