The Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the hiring of Christina Henderson as its new Director of Economic Development, a newly formed position within the Chamber’s Economic Development Department.
In this role, Henderson will work alongside Vice President of Economic Development Doug Berry and the Chamber’s broader staff to support and advance the organization’s efforts to strengthen the local economy, attract new investment, support existing industries, and develop the workforce needed for continued growth.
A native Tennessean, Henderson joins the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber from the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, where she served as Director of Economic Development. In that role, she supported existing businesses while also working to recruit new industries and investment to the Chattanooga region.
“Christina brings a unique combination of experience in economic development, workforce development, education, human resources, and industry engagement,” said Doug Berry, Vice President of Economic Development. “As our community continues to grow, this new position will allow us to strengthen our focus on both attracting new opportunities and supporting the businesses already invested in Cleveland and Bradley County.”
Henderson will lead the Chamber’s business attraction and existing industry programs while also supporting workforce development and educational programming led by Danielle Seals, Director of Workforce Development. She will additionally assist Berry with his ongoing work and partnerships involving the Industrial Development Board and Economic Development Council.
The creation of the Director of Economic Development position reflects the Chamber’s continued commitment to providing additional capacity and leadership within its economic development efforts as Cleveland and Bradley County continue to experience growth and opportunity.
