The Arts in Education and Business Council
The Arts in Education and Business Council of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce strives to raise awareness regarding the value of the arts to quality of life to the community. Committed over the past twenty-six years to promoting the local arts community by offering quality arts programming and providing arts in education activities to local schools.
The National Arts Education Public Awareness Campaign points out that students actively engaged in arts education are likely to have higher test scores than those with little involvement. The arts help children to develop skills in critical thinking, creative problem solving, effective communication and teamwork. The arts teach children to be more tolerant and open, allow them to express themselves creatively, and bolster their self-confidence.
Additionally, the arts keep students engaged in school, and they are less likely to drop out.

Chair-ries Jubilee
The committee celebrated its silver anniversary in 2018 with a culmination of over half a million dollars to local schools in support of the arts since the inception of the Chair-ries Jubilee fundraiser. This past year’s art auction, “Chair-ries Jubilee: 25th Anniversary” generated even more for Arts in Education. These monies provide funding for teachers to receive $500 grants for viable art programs that they wish to bring to their classrooms, as well as for visiting artists to appear in area schools and arts for our community.
The next Chair-ries Jubilee will take place in April 2024. Follow Chair-ries Jubilee on Facebook for updates.
No advance tickets necessary however must have a confirmed RSVP to attend. Register online through the Community Events Calendar at ClevelandChamber.com.
